Grand Forks Herald (ND) - Sunday, November 14, 2010 Deceased Name: Bryce Jon Vorachek Bryce Jon Vorachek, 62, Fargo, passed away Friday, November 12th at Essentia Health in Fargo. Bryce was born on May 25th, 1948 in Devils Lake, North Dakota, the son of Harold James and Harriet Laura (Rindahl). Bryce graduated from Edmore High School in 1967. After graduation, he studied Business at North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND. While attending North Dakota State School of Science, Bryce worked as a merchandiser at Pamida. It was there in Wahpeton, ND that he met his wife Judith Hagen, whom he married on March 6th, 1971. In 1978, Bryce began working for grocery distributor SuperValu as a buyer and merchandiser where he continued to work until his retirement in March 2010. In his 32 year career there Bryce gained the respect of his colleagues as a hard working trouble shooter and a reputation for being the office practical joker. Bryce's friendly and outgoing nature was his most endearing trait. He was always there to greet a stranger or lend a helping hand. Bryce is remembered for the compassion he showed everyone he encountered. His charitable nature, dedication to his family, and love of animals will always be remembered. Bryce enjoyed fishing with family and friends, driving the scenic routes to various destinations to see the sights, and helping those in need with his handyman skills. He never gave up on his quest to be reunited with a 1969 GTO Judge. Bryce is survived by his beloved, Judith, his daughter Mara (William) VorachekWarren, St. Louis, MO; his son Mathias (Erin) Vorachek, Port Orchard, WA; his brothers Keith (Laurel) Vorachek, Anchorage, AK; and James (Mildred) Vorachek, Red Lodge, MT. He was preceded in death by his father Harold, mother Harriet, and brother Ross. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, November 14th, 2010 and one hour before the Memorial Service Monday at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo. The Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of Boulger Funeral Home at 2:30 PM Monday, November 15th, 2010. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND. Memorials may be sent to the FM Humane Society and the Duke Lemur Center in Durham, NC.
